In case you haven’t figured it out based on the above pic, the X2s combine a set of speakers with a set of headphones. Let us reiterate for the sake of clarity: these headphones have built-in speakers. Pretty nifty, no?
Inside the each can is a 4omm drive that presumably drives either speaker. Using them as a pair of headphones is as simple as removing them from the box and plugging them into any 3.5 headphone jack. Using the speaker portion of these headcans is a slightly different story. You’ll first need to charge the battery found inside a small control unit mid cord. Supposedly it’s good for up to 4 hours, but expect your mileage to vary with amplitude. Fortunately, recharge time is a purported 1 hour.
Call us skeptical, but we wouldn’t expect these to produce top notch sound in light of their gimmicky nature. Nevertheless, we applaud Zumreed for the ingeniunity.
