This price is well below the typical price for an Ultrabook, and $200 less than the suggested retail price of $899.99 for the Z835-P330 that’s on sale. The Ultrabook category is pretty new and getting a lot of attention, and if prices fall to around the $700 we’re seeing here then there will definitely be more interest. The Z835 has a lot of premium features such as a backlit keyboard, fast SSD, super thin 0.6” body, long battery life of up to 8 hours. The downsides to Ultrabooks is they are so thin they don’t have a built-in optical drive, the keyboard might sacrifice some usability because there’s only so much room for keys to travel and there’s a limited amount of ports. The processors are also specialized low voltage chips and so will not be as fast as the fully fledged Intel Core i3 processors that generally clock in at 2.10 GHz and above. Finally, if you like to have tons of storage on board then the 128GB SSD might not cut it for you. Most people that are interested in Ultrabooks are looking to marry the best of both worlds from laptops and tablets, and not have to carry both, so if you’re somebody like that and looking for something ultraportable this deal could be it.
